Hi, I’m Joanna — and yes, I’m awkward in front of the camera too.
That’s exactly why I create relaxed, natural sessions where you can simply be yourself.

I’m a mum of two boys, and it was motherhood that truly shaped the way I photograph families. I know how full those early days feel — the exhaustion, the overwhelm, the deep love — and how quickly it all changes. I also know how hard it can be to step into the frame when you’re the one holding everything together.

My approach is family-led and child-centred, gently guided but never forced. I focus on real connection — the cuddles, the chaos, the quiet in-between moments — so your images feel like your life, not a performance.

Growing up, we didn’t have many photos on our walls, and many memories were lost when my family migrated to Australia. That absence stayed with me. Now, I’m passionate about helping families create tangible memories — photographs that feel like home and become part of your story for generations.

About The Studio
I hold sessions in a commercial studio space in Castle Hill, NSW. The studio is purpose built for newborn, cake smash and family photos. It has wall to wall windows and plenty of natural light.
This allows me to keep sessions flash free and sensory friendly for little ones.

Rather than focusing on perfect poses, I capture genuine connection, soft interactions, and meaningful details. The little glances, embraces, and in-between moments often become the most treasured memories, and it's these authentic connections that sit at the heart of my work.

My editing style is warm, earthy, and refined, with soft, true-to-life tones, rich yet gentle colour, and beautifully natural light. I carefully enhance the warmth and atmosphere already present while preserving the authenticity of each moment, creating images that feel both elegant and genuine.

Every image receives thoughtful, professional retouching, including subtle skin refinement and the removal of temporary distractions where needed. My approach to retouching is always natural and realistic—maintaining skin texture, character, and the unique features that make you and your family who you are.
